Helsinki Summer School is a three-week academic event organised every August by the universities in Helsinki Metropolitan area. Each year we give advanced degree students from over 60 countries an unforgettable experience that combines high quality academics with a wide range of cultural and social activities. Our multidisciplinary courses, all of which are taught in English, aim at stimulating thought and intellectual development in an open and diverse environment. At Helsinki Summer School, the rich academic, cultural and social resources of this vibrant city all become part of the classroom experience.

This summer we will be offering eighteen fully credited courses covering a wide range of academic fields - from Integrated Marketing Communication to Design and the City and Sustainable Global Technologies to Politics of Nations in Europe Today. All of our courses are designed to challenge and inspire you in any field that holds your interest. Finland is one of the most research-intensive and academically competitive countries in the world.
